Renee graduated from Michigan State University, College of Human Development and Family Studies with a MA in couple and family counseling. Renee believes therapy is a collaborative effort between therapist and patient. Working together to help patients reach their goals for emotional healing and psychological well-being. She also believes that you have inside of you, what you need to heal yourself, although during times of stress and pain it can be difficult to find. That’s why therapy can be so beneficial. It can help you uncover your strengths again, or perhaps help you see them for the first time in an environment of support and complete acceptance.
Renee uses an eclectic approach in counseling incorporating several empirically-based therapies which include cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and rational-emotive techniques. She is also trained in Alternating Bilateral Stimulation to help heal emotional dysregulation that can result from traumatic experiences.
